Enjoying Life

As a child I was taken to the Detroit Historical Museum, (pictures up coming) I loved visiting the "Old Streets of Detroit" replica in the Museum basement. I'll let my pictures speak for it. I feel it is a place for every child and Adult to visit. I was also taken the Detroit Public Library Main Branch on Woodward Avenue. I felt the old building was a Castle turned into a library and as I wandered through the different rooms I imagined that I lived at the library and it was my home not just the library. Another favorite place to visit is the Art Institute I will be adding photos of my next visit to the Art institute. As a teen I took Art classes at the Detroit Institute and spent many summer days drawing charcoal still life and oil painting the court yard!

Aunt Sharon,

I did not know that art was one of your interests or that you used to draw. Do you have any of your old drawings/paintings? If you and Uncle Ervin would ever want to take a trip to Massachusetts, I would be glad to show you around the Berkshires and New York City. There are some amazing art museums and cultural venues in the vicinity of where I live. Take care and I'll talk to you later!!

Regards
