“And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.” Romans 12:2
I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well. Psalm 139:14
I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable. Romans 12:1
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Philippians 4:8
I started this page with these passages above because we get only one life to live and one body to live it in. If you are reading this page you have been blessed with the gift of life. All life comes from the creator. The creator deserves our praise and appreciation. On way we show appreciation is displayed in the verses above. How we show appreciation is to take care of the gift that is given to us, our vessel. (Our bodies)
As we grow older our brains shrink. Men I'm sorry but Your brains end up a little smaller than ladies brains. With our brains getting smaller we become absent minded, dementia. But a new study by the University of Pittsburgh and appearing in the journal Neurology suggests that just six miles a week on your feet can actually protect your brain, and improve your memory.
So this is where I say walk to renew your mind.

As with any exercise that you are not use to start out slowly. If you are over 50 and you do not exercise? No? OK I'm sorry. I'll start over. Ok if you have health concerns and you are currently under the care of a health care provider talk to your provider to see if it is alright for you to start walking for exercise. Your health care provider will no doubt will be pleased that you are taking the incentive to get fit. He may say: "I don't see why not walk for exercise. You walked in here didn't you?" As long as you do not have any health problems that would prevent you from starting a health care/exercise regime If you are not physically active start slowly. Do not start out trying to walk 30 minutes a day. If all you can do is 3 minutes that is good. Work your way up. A mile is run one step at a time. Make sure you get a good pair of walking shoes. Wear socks to prevent blisters. Wear lose fitting clothes that can breath, no rubber sweat suits to make you lose weight. That's crazy to walk in. Make sure you are comfortable as possiable when you are walking.
